Dr. Hoch gave a 2 hour presentation on GI health to the North Carolina Center for Creative Retirement at the University of North Carolina Asheville campus.

Dr. Hoch joined the newly constituted Steering Committee of the Asheville HUB Alliance Center of Integrative Health. He is also on the Vision and Mission Committee.

Dr. Hoch gave a presentation on emotional health and affect psychology at the iMOSIAC conference at the Minneapolis Convention Center. This is a landmark conference of the four leading professional organizations in the integrative health field. Dr. Hoch along with Carolyn Torkelson, MD of the University of Minnesota organized the American Holistic Medical Association day long workshop at the iMOSIAC.

Dr. Hoch joined Great Smokies Medical Center in Asheville, North Carolina. This cutting edge center was started in 1979 to deliver the best up to date medical and health care. Great Smokies now serves health conscious people from the western Carolinas, eastern Tennessee and the east coast of the United States.

Dr. Hoch is on the faculty teaching the Introduction to Manual Medicine course to second year medical students at the U of M for the eighth year.

Dr. Hoch was featured in The Best Doctors issue of Minnesota Monthly Magazine on local experts for preventive medicine and health.

Taught workshops on affect psychology and shame with Kathy Jennings in Minneapolis, Minnesota in the spring and again in the fall at the Penny George Institute for Health and Healing at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.
